We have consistent year-round projects for our crews and long-term projects; crews are assigned a particular project from start to finish. Lead Carpenter

Job Description
We are looking for a Lead Carpenter who is excited to grow with an industry leading firm, with a passion for residential construction, and who takes pride in their work.

Compensation will be based on skill level in carpentry, ability to lead and experience. The Lead Carpenter will often be supervising and working in small teams of two or three with carpenter assistants/helpers and responsible for the quality and productivity of the project with minimal supervision.

Work Responsibilities:
•  Residential framing (rough, finish, trim, roof/trusses, windows, etc...) work on site
•  On-site project supervision of assistants, helpers, and subtrades
•  Ordering of materials and site organization
•  Reports directly to the project manager in coordinating schedules and work
•  Ensure jobsite safety and enforcing jobsite safety rules

Skills and Requirements:
•  Knowledge of residential building/construction practices and Ontario Building Code
•  Ability to read blueprint plans
•  Minimum 5+ years in residential construction framing
•  Minimum 2+ years in supervising/leading a residential project to completion
•  Able to carry up to 50 lbs and work at heights
•  Driver's License and/or vehicle is a must (truck preferred)
•  Own set of trade related tools (Leads required to have table/chop saw as well as basic hand tools)
•  Able to work independently, as a team, and/or lead a team based on previous experience

We pay on a regular bi-weekly schedule and as independent operators
  (have own company name and HST)
•  Start Date: ASAP
•  Hours: Full-time and flexible hours

Assistant Carpenter

Job Description
We are looking for an Assistant Carpenter who is interested in learning and growing their skills and career in construction, and who takes pride in their work.

Compensation will be based on experience and skill level in carpentry. The Assistant Carpenter will report to the production manager who is responsible for supporting the Lead Carpenter on site.

Work Responsibilities:
•  Residential Carpentry (rough framing, finishing, trim, roof/trusses, windows, etc...) work on site
•  Site cleaning and material organizing
•  Following instructions from the Lead Carpenter and Production Manager
•  Reports directly to the project manager in coordinating schedules and work
•  Ensure jobsite safety and following jobsite safety rules

Skills and Requirements:
•  Ability to show up daily with a positive attitude and be dependable
•  Minimum 1+ years in residential construction
•  Able to carry up to 50 lbs and work at heights
•  Driver's License and/or vehicle is preferred
•  Own set of trade related tools (basic hand tools and a pouch)
•  Able to work independently or as a team as may be needed

We pay on a regular bi-weekly schedule and as independent operators
  (have own company name and HST)
•  Start Date: ASAP
•  Hours: Full-time and flexible hours
